Play it, Live it, Love it! That is the theme of the 12th Pan Pacific Masters Games! If you want to participate or cheer on the athletes, the games will take place from November 4 to 13 at some of the best sporting facilities on the Gold Coast.
Since the inaugural Pan Pacific Masters Games in 1998, the sports event has grown to become the world’s most significant biennial masters games. Furthermore, it is one of Australia’s best-organised multi-sport events.
The Games
The 2018 edition drew 32,400 people generating 84,000 visitor nights. So expect thousands of participants to visit, especially since there are 40 sports in the Asia-largest Pacific and the best annual masters games. There is competition in Archery, Athletics, Baseball, Boxing, Calisthenics, Cricket – Super 8s, DanceSport, Enduro & Vinduro, Equestrian – Dressage, Fitness Challenge, Futsal, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Indoor Rowing, Lawn Bowls, Netball, Paddling – Dragon Boat, Rugby League, Shooting – Clay Target, Tenpin Bowling, Water Polo and more.
Are you interested, too? Participants compete in their age group. So the only requirement for entry is a minimum age for each sport, usually 30 years old.
The event is all about having fun, trying new sports, and sharing your passion for sports with other sports enthusiasts. The Pan Pacific Masters Games captures the event’s competitive, participatory, and social environment. Come on, let’s do it!
The Entertainment
An exclusive Pan Pacific Masters Games Village will be setup alongside the beach at Kurrawa Park, just a short 15 minute drive from Swell Resort. It is a perfect space to recognise accomplishments, dance to live music, socialise with teammates, friends, and family, and enjoy camaraderie.
